Embers

Me, Cory, Dave and Ryan pulled this tree out of a sand dune at lake michigan and hauled it back to our campsite. We broke up the tree by smashing it against other trees, the ground and each other. Eventually, exhausted we set the remnents of the day to blaze in our campsite fire pit. We stayed up til 4am just quietly enjoying the quiet ambient sounds of the crackling fire and the cool breeze from the lake. (Muskegon, MI 2001)
